I use a Janome MC6600P. It is wonderful, I purchased mine here.
Thread
I use Aurifil 50wt thread for piecing and quilting. Most of the time I use Dove or Natural White.
And Perle Cotton size 8 for sewing down the binding (tutorial here). I have used various brands of Perle cotton with good results.
Pins
I have tried a variety of pins, but I have had the best results with the Clover Fine Patchwork pins.

Needles for binding
For standard binding, I like to use straw needles because they are small, but have a little bit of flex to them.

For big stitch binding, I like to use Clover embroidery needles.
Rulers
There are a lot of fancy rulers out there, but these are the three that I use the most: Creative Grids 6.5" x 24.5", Creative Grids 12.5" x 12.5", and the Creative Grids 60 degree triangle. This brand is a little more expensive than the others, but you get what you pay for. They are amazing.

Batting
Quilter's Dream is my favorite batting. Most of the time I use Cotton Select, but I also like their Wool and Orient Battings.
Quilt Design
Electric Quilt is the best!
Other useful tools
Tape for Basting (this is what I use to tape the backing to the floor)

These need to be sharp and have long blades but you may have some household scissors that fit that description. That's fine. Just keep them separate and don't let anyone use them for cutting paper or anything else that will blunt them too quickly.For more tips visit-quilting equipment
